Directions from Asheville, NC On I-40 exit 27 out of Asheville take 74 West. Just stay on 74; it will change a few times (23 & 74 together). Follow sign to Murphy and Andrews - do not go to Robbinsville) You will be staying on 74 going through Andrews. We are approximately 45 minutes from Andrews When you enter Murphy, you will see a Super Wal-Mart on the left. Hampton Inn and Best Western on right. Continue on this same road heading west. The road number will change to 64 West. You will pass a McDonald's on the right. From this point we are approximately 12 miles west - a straight drive on 64 West.

Some landmarks: There will be another traffic light approximately 4 miles after the one at McDonald's (Hwy 129 South to Blairsville) Go through the traffic light approximately 8 miles on Hwy 64 West. You will pass a strip of log cabin stores, and a miniature golf course on the left. BETWEEN MILE MARKER 8 & 9 on Hwy 64 West you will turn onto Piper Drive (sign at the entrance BEAR TRAIL A LOG HOME COMMUNITY) Turn right onto PiperDrive, follow the road around passing a bank of mail boxes. You will see our sign across from the mail boxes (Fish Pond Rental Cabins) stay on Piper Drive until you come to a "Y" in the road. At the "Y" will be a fence with our sign. This is Fish Pond Lane to your left to the right would be the continuation of Piper Drive. Take a left onto Fish Pond Lane Go to the end and make a U-turn - the four pond cabins and the pond on right. Name is on the cabin. The door will be unlocked with the key on the table. If I am not there upon your arrival, I will catch up with you at sometime during the day. We live three minutes up the mountain from the cabins.

To Whispering Pines cabin make a right at the end of the bank of mail boxes onto Persimmon Branch. Whispering Pines sign and Fish Pond Cabin signs are across from the mail boxes on the corner. As you are driving up the mountain, Persimmon will veer to the left - DO NOT TURN stay straight, the road changes to High Ridge. Shortly after the road name changes you will see Osborne Lane on the left with Whispering Pines sign at the entrance to Osborne Lane. Make a left. It's the first cabin on the left. Name is on the cabin. The door will be unlocked with the key on the table. We live next door to Whispering Pines..

DIRECTIONS FROM ATLANTA, GA I-75 North - exit onto I-575 North this road is straight, but changes to 5, 76, 515. Stay on this road all the way up for about 1 ½ hours until you reach Blue Ridge, GA. In Blue Ridge you will see a traffic light with McDonald's on the left, continue straight. You will pass a shopping center on the left with an Ingles, Roses, etc. Continue straight pass Mountain Valley Jeep/Chrysler and Bill Holt dealerships on the left. From there it's a short distance to the next traffic light. At the traffic light there will be a gas station on the left and a Marathon gas station along with a real estate building on the right. Make a left at the light onto Hwy 60 heading to Mineral Bluff. This road goes down approximately 1-2 miles to where you will see a small post office on your left, a church on the right. Where the church is, turn right onto Spur 60. Just before the turn you will see a sign on the right that says Murphy. Follow Spur 60 approximately 6 miles. The road will come into a 4-lane. Just before the 4-lane a Chevron gas station will be on your left. Continue approximately one mile until you see a small, red brick, post office on your left. (easily missed). This is SHADY GROVE ROAD. Turn left on Shady Grove and follow to where you have to make a turn - turn right continuing on Shady Grove. (SHOULD YOU MISS SHADY GROVE ROAD FROM THE 4-LANE, CONTINUE STRAIGHT UNTIL YOU REACH HWY 64 AND MAKE A LEFT HEADING WEST) Shady Grove is a narrow, winding mountain road, but is a short cut. When you come to a 4-lane, this is Hwy 64 - turn left heading west. From this point you are less than 2 miles from the cabins. WE ARE BETWEEN MILE MARKER 8 & 9 on Hwy 64 West you will turn onto Piper Drive (sign at the entrance BEAR TRAIL A LOG HOME COMMUNITY) Turn right onto Piper Drive, follow the road around passing a bank of mail boxes. DIRECTIONS FROM CHATTANOOGA, TN - INTERSTATE 75 NORTH - exit 11 to Hwy 64 East towards Murphy, NC. Approximately 8 miles before Murphy, watch for the 8 mile marker. We are located approximately ½ mile east on your left. You need to pass our entrance as it is a four lane and we are on the opposite side. Make a U-Turn at West Hills (West Hill's sign on right - no sign on left where you need to make the U-turn) After you turn, it is just a very short distance to Piper Drive. At the entrance onto Piper Drive there is a sign (Bear Trail a Log Home Community). Turn right at Piper Drive and continue past the bank of mail boxes, staying to your left. You will see our sign across from the mail boxes (Fish Pond Rental Cabins) stay on Piper Drive until you come to a "Y" in the road. At the "Y" will be a fence with our sign. This is Fish Pond Lane to your left to the right would be the continuation of Piper Drive. Continue west through the city of Murphy crossing the intersection of 129 South (traffic light) go through on Hwy 64 West. We are between Mile Marker 8 & 9 on Hwy 64 west where you will turn right onto Piper Drive - sign at entrance to Piper Drive (Bear Trail a Log Home Community) Some landmarks before turning on Piper Drive: log cabin strip stores on left, miniature golf course, Ranger Elementary school on left.
